My 21st birthday party.
I had a great and memorable birthday party thanks to:
  1. my boyfriend for planning everything and setting up the venue.
  2. my parents in ensuring that everything runs smoothly
  3. bff (kar hwee) for the birthday cake.
  4. bf's friends for setting up the venue
  5. everyone for coming as well as for the wishes and presents!

My family except for eldest bro. He left early.

As requested by the guests.

My colleagues.

There's something wrong with the lighting! The pics came out rather sucky.

Thanks for being the emcee! You are so daring. (:

Thank you all for coming once again!

Batam 2D1N!

Bought the tour package from Deal.com.sg. There was a total of 37 people on-board the bus. (I guess they bought from the website as well!) I didn't know it was a tour package when I bought it and bf was complaining when he heard the schedule from the tour guide. BF hates to go on a holiday tour as they would bring us to some shops (that sells much more expensive stuff compared to others) where they can earn commission, and the time is always so rushing. But well, overall, we did enjoy ourself.

Our first stop is Polo Ralph Lauren boutique. A lot of Singaporeans buy from them (including us). It's cheappppppppppp. I bought mine at ~$60. People say they are real, but I'm a little doubtful.

We alighted at Sekupang Ferry Terminal. I wonder if it's new as it's very clean. However, we need to wait for more than 30mins to pass the immigration checkpoint. They only have 3 stations, and there's more than 150 waiting.

Our ferry: Pacific Ferry

The whole stretch of bus waiting for tourists. My bus no.: 66

Next, we visited a rented shop that sells Kueh Lapis. They are selling it for $25/cake. We didnt buy. That is so expensive!

A $25 Kueh Lapis.

Our 3rd stop: Lunch at Golden Prawn 933. OMG. The food is quite sucky. Right, it's seafood lunch. But, the crab leg and prawns are so small, and, it doesnt taste nice at all.

We have to wear this sticker where ever we go so that the tour guide can recognise us. She said Singaporeans' dressing is about the same.

6 dishes, 1 soup. I rather hunt for food myself.

Beside the restaurant, they have a cultural dance for us to watch. It's not exactly a dance. There is only 2 people that performed. 1 will peel coconut shell using his teeth, eat a burning charcoal and the other one will eat glass and jump over fire. At the end of the show, we'll have to pay ~$1.

Our 4th stop: Batam Miniature House.

My Zodiac sign!

Beside the miniature house, is the Go-Kart ride. BF and I decided not to spend extra $ for that, so gave it a miss. While waiting for the others, we saw a monkey that performs stunts!

After the Go-Kart ride, we went to a dry market that doesnt interest us at all. Probably the aunties will love it. (No pictures as it's boring.)

We went to Tua Pek Kong temple to pray next. I thought the next stop to Factory outlet would be the 2nd best part of the day, but there's nothing for me to buy. Oh my...

Boring shop.

Finally, it's dinner + shopping time at Batam City Square! Seriously, Batam is sooooooo boring when it comes to shopping. It's either imitation goods everywhere, or their clothing isnt my type. But, I love my dinner! It's cheap and delicious!!!

Laksa for FREE if we order a main course.

Curly fries.

My Mocha shake.

His cafe latte.

His Nasi Goreng.

My Kway Tiao Goreng.

We had a hard time finding the entrance of the shopping mall. Luckily, we were only late by 5 mins. If it's more than 10mins, the tour guide wouldn't wait.

Finally, it's time to head to hotel for a bath before our 90mins massage. The hotel is niceeeeeeeeeeee. Good atmostphere and decorations. It's clean too!

Most of the pictures were taken during day time.

This would be of good use if we come with family/friends.

I'm super thankful that we had a queen size bed. I dont feel safe if I sleep alone. They gave the room numbers randomly.

Expensive!

View from our room:

I was so hungry after the massage we called for room service past midnight. Our supper costs ~$10 only!

Yummy Ikan bakar.

Overall, the trip was quite boring. I only enjoyed the massage and hotel. BF actually slept during the 90mins massage. He told me being in army allows him to sleep anywhere, anytime. -.-

Now that I'm back to Singapore, it's time to chiong assignments (again). Our next trip would be in 12 days time to Malacca!

Sunday, March 27, 2011

It feels like months since we last 'dated'. Shopped around Marina Square and Marina Bay Sands. Though both of us were feeling grouchy, we ended the day well. He blamed me for not being able to get his jeans and bag. Kns. He could have suggested to buy his things before dinner.
And luckily, I did not get the Coach wallet or I would have regretted it now. I find my current Gucci wallet rather small.

Water = wealth. I bet this is the cause of people spending $$ at MBS.

We rested at the floating pavilion and watched Wonder Full - a 13-minute light, laser and water spectacle.

Actually, it's not as boring as what the pictures show.

After which, we headed to hotpot culture for dinner. They have a promo for 2 pax.
I love their herbal soup but their Sambal Kang Kong doesn't taste nice at all. (It's also the reason why there's no picture of it. )

1 more week before school starts again.

Though there are always lots of assignments to do, I still love to attend classes due to my awesome classmates. We play and work together.

AF09 - Big class which consists of 48 teachers.

My group's artwork. Can you guess which was drawn by me? (Alisa got it right when I showed her.)

Lastly, my team member thinks that I'm wonderful!

Happiness.
A simple dinner prepared by just you and me.
I always get excited during groceries shopping and when we're cooking together.

From top:
Teriyaki Chicken.
Broccoli with egg
Tomato prawn with onion

Mango sago! He made this all by himself while I was taking my nap.
I can still remember he made this for me (more than one and half years ago) when he was wooing me. Wow, time flies.

Working for BC's event tomorrow and we'll have to reach by 745am! Luckily, b is sending me there. It has been a busy week.
I'm looking forward to our holidays in June!
